TIN DRUM ASIA CAFE TO HOST TUCKER TIGER FOOTBALL SPIRIT NIGHTS

TIN DRUM ASIA CAFE, located at 2566 Briarcliff Road behind Chick-Fil-A across from our HOME FIELD OF ADAMS STADIUM, will be hosting FOUR (4), TUCKER TIGER FOOTBALL SPIRIT NIGHTS, every Thursday during the month of August.  Their support will help promote our upcoming participation in the 2015 CORKY KELL CLASSIC TOURNAMENT at the GEORGIA DOME on Saturday, August 22nd, 2015, AT 8:45 PM.

The 1st TUCKER SPIRIT NIGHT, will be held from 4 pm to 9 pm on Thursday, August 6th.  The subsequent events will be held on Thursday, August 13th, August 20th, and Thursday, August 27th.
We are asking all parents, students, and community members to support the Tigers!  Tin Drum has committed to sharing the proceeds earned during each Tucker football Spirit Night to help us offset the high cost associated with our participation in the 2015 Corky Kell Tournament.

WE ARE VERY EXCITED TO GET OUR SEASON STARTED AGAINST MCEACHERN AT THE CORKY KELL

PLEASE COME OUT AND SUPPORT OUR TEAM.

Two Tigers Commit!  CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH!

Garrett Rigby - Harvard

In June of 2015, Tucker QB/Safety, Garrett Rigby spent a week visiting all of the Ivy League schools recruiting him for 2016. Key schools visited were Princeton, Yale and Harvard where he spent 1-2 days each, meeting with coaches, fellow players, engineering professors and students. He also attended the Eli Football camp at Yale where he won the “G-Award” as a result of placing first in the 40-yard dash at Yale’s Eli Football Camp. While visiting Harvard, Garrett attended and participated in the Crimson Football camp where he had an opportunity to spend a considerable amount of time learning of the university’s rich history of producing some of the world’s most talented and powerful people. Garrett intends to major in Mechanical Engineering at Harvard University and is excited about matriculating in the summer of 2016 as evidenced by the following tweet from him on July 10th, 2015:

ATTENTION ALL TUCKER TIGER FOOTBALL ALUMNI!

HELP THE TUCKER TIGER FOOTBALL TEAM BY MAKING A DONATION.

Just a reminder, alumni, we have until the 29th of May to get your donations in. Our Tucker Tiger Football program is helping change so many  young kids lives. Tucker is sending kids to Harvard, Stanford, Northwestern, Baylor, Georgia, Auburn, Oregon, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma State, and Kansas State, just to name a few.  These kids are graduating as well. We need to support this program in anyway possible and help continue this great tradition. To feed these young men every game is over $30,000 a year and they have never missed a pregame meal. So, let's pull together alumni and continue this great tradition. WE ARE TUCKER!!!

It's easy to donate. Just go  and click on the DONATE button located in the lower left corner of this home page.

ATTENTION TUCKER MERCHANTS AND COMMUNITY BUSINESS LEADERS!

ATTENTION LOCAL BUSINESSES!

BEWARE OF telephone scams in the Tucker area regarding donations to our Tucker Tiger High School sports teams and other booster clubs.

FOOTBALL SCHEDULES RELEASED
By Craig Sager II

GHSA publishes 2015-16 football schedules

This is year two of the last region shuffling so much of the 2015 football season will be mirrored from last year, but the non-region slates for some of the state's top programs will be different.

Parkview and Peachtree Ridge created an Aug. 22, cross-state double-header instead of repeating their matchup from last year. Peachtree Ridge will play the Volunteer state's Class 3A champion, Christ Presbyterian of Nashville, which was 15-0 last season. Parkview will face state power McCallie.

Buford will put its 40-game win-streak on the line with Eastern Christian of Maryland in an Aug. 21 home opener. Eastern Christian is an independent school founded largely for the purpose of developing football players for the next level.

Tucker dominated region-play last year with hardly any competition but the Tigers will add a Sept. 11 showdown with Tennessee Class 6A power Blackman to boost their more challenging non-region lineup. Tucker opens its season in the nightcap of Corky Kell Classic with McEachern on Aug. 22 and faces Godby (FL) the following Saturday on Aug 29 in the Annual Battle of the Borders marathon. Before Tucker reeled off 10 straight wins last season, the Tigers fell in overtime to Norcross in their opener at the Corky Kell 32-29 before losing to defending National Champion Booker T. Washington (FL) 19-7 at Hallford the next Saturday.
